Company history

First, they made motorcycles ago, the Flanders Bi-Mobile were called. In 1912 the production of passenger cars began . The brand name was Flanders , possibly with the addition of Electric . The idea for this came from C. Leroy Pelletier.

Less than 100 vehicles were built. Economic problems led to bankruptcy in 1913 . Pelletier bought what was left of the company and then founded the Tiffany Electric Company .

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the Flanders brand were Everitt-Metzger-Flanders Company (1909–1912), Flanders Motor Company (1913) and Flanders Electric Company (1914–1915).

vehicles

Around 2500 of the motorcycle were made.

The car was an electric car . It had a 100- inch (2540 mm) wheelbase chassis . It was initially available in two variants , the Colonial Coupé and the Victoria, each priced at $ 1,775 . They looked like other electric vehicles of the time, such as the Columbia , but it was noteworthy that the Flanders bodies were around 35 cm lower.
