Majestic Motor Company , initially Monitor Motor Company , was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Monitor Motor Company was in 1917 in New York City founded. Samuel Fein, Frank A. Kateley, Harry Kitzinger and Max Monfried were involved. Kateley was previously a sales manager at Remington Motor Company . They started producing automobiles in the same year. The brand name was Majestic . Production ended in 1917.

More American manufacturer of passenger cars of the brand Majestic were Majestic Motor Car Company and Larrabee Deyo Motor Truck Company .

According to the literature, there was only one model on offer. It had a V8 engine with a displacement of 4600 cc . The chassis had a 318 cm wheelbase . Available were touring car with seven seats, club Roadster , a so-called Stuyvesant - Victoria and a touring sedan .

However, there is also evidence that there were two different models. The A Series had an engine with 331.8 cubic inches , corresponding to 5437 cm³ displacement, 343 cm wheelbase and superstructures as a roadster with four seats and touring cars with five and seven seats. The M Series had a smaller engine with 282.7 cubic inches, 4633 cc displacement, 318 cm wheelbase and, in addition to the bodies of the other model, was also available with a four-door, five-seat structure of an unknown type.
