International Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

CE Hall, EC Haynes and JW McDaniel founded the company in November 1908. The company was based in Chicago , Illinois . They operated a used car trade and reportedly had 250 used vehicles on offer. In 1909 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was International . Production ended in the same year.

There were no affiliations with the other US automakers under the International brand: International Motor Carriage Company , International Motor Car Company, and International Harvester .

Highwheelers were on offer . The Type 10 had an engine with 12 hp , a chassis with a 178 cm wheelbase and a two-seater runabout structure .

In the Type 14 , the engine was specified with 12/14 hp. The wheelbase was 183 cm. These vehicles were bodied as a four-seater Surrey .

The same applies to the Type 16 . Its engine was specified with 16/18 hp. The wheelbase was slightly longer at 213 cm.

The Little Giant was a delivery truck . One version had a 12 hp engine. A more powerful variant had an engine that was specified with 18/20 hp.
