Adams Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

George Adams ran the company in Hiawatha , Kansas . In 1906 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Average Man's Runabout . Marketing ended in 1906 and production ended in 1909. That is, the vehicles from 1907 to 1909 were for personal use.

The only model was a high wheeler . A two-cylinder engine with 10 hp was mounted in the front of the vehicle. It drove the rear axle via a friction gear and a chain. The chassis had a 193 cm wheelbase . The open body offered space for two people. The original price was 500 US dollars . For comparison: the slightly longer and more powerful Ford Model N cost the same.
