Lincoln Motor Car Works was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Chicago , Illinois company had already made some automotive parts for Sears . When Sears gave up the automobile business, Lincoln Motor Car Works continued production on its own account. The brand name was Lincoln . Production ended in 1913.

More American car brands named Lincoln introduced Lincoln Electric Company , Lincoln Automobile Company , Lincoln Motor Car Company and the Ford Corporation as Lincoln ago.

The Model 24 was a high wheeler . An air-cooled two-cylinder engine with an L-head powered the rear axle via a friction gear and two chains. The engine had 104.775 mm bore , 101.6 mm stroke , 1752 cm³ displacement and 14 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 183 cm . It was steered with a steering lever from the left seat. The original price was 585 US dollars .

There was also the Light . It was designed more modern and lower. The engine and wheelbase corresponded to the other model. The structure was a touring car . The car was $ 650.
