Hill Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

George S. Hill founded the company in Haverhill , Massachusetts in 1904 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Hill . Production ended in 1908. A total of around ten vehicles were built.

In 1908 Elmer C. Bassett took over. He limited himself to working as a repair shop and car dealership for Buick and Maxwell .

The gasoline engines came from the Upton Machine Company . One feature was air cooling . The wheelbase of all chassis was 229 cm. The vehicles were open touring cars with five seats. Bryant made the bodies.

In 1904 there was the 16/18 HP . Its two-cylinder engine was specified with 16/18 hp .

From 1905 to 1906 it became the 20/22 HP . The engine power had been increased according to the model designation.

This model remained in the range from 1907 to 1908. In addition, the 35 HP was introduced. Its four-cylinder engine developed 35 hp.
