Eddy Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Windsor , Connecticut in 1898 . It originally made electric motors that were sold to other car manufacturers. Some automobiles were made between 1900 and 1901. The brand name was Eddy , possibly with the addition of Electric .

In 1902 it was taken over by General Electric .
