Cleveland Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
AL Moore ran the Cleveland Machine Screw Company , which made electric cars for the Sperry Engineering Company . In June 1902 he founded the new company in Cleveland , Ohio . HN Ensworth, HH Johnson, MB Johnson and JB Russell were involved. They ordered parts for 100 vehicles and began producing automobiles in the summer of 1902. The brand name was Cleveland . Production ended in 1904.

The company manufactured the engines itself. They were gasoline engines . The engine power was transmitted to the rear axle via a chain. The vehicles were right-hand drive .
One model had a single cylinder engine . The wheelbase was 183 cm. From 1902 to 1903 there were only roadsters , while in 1904 Runabout and Tonneau were available .
There was also a model with a two-cylinder engine that developed 15 hp from 1902 to 1903 . The chassis had a wheelbase of 198 cm. The only structure was a touring car .
In 1904 a model with a four-cylinder engine was added. It made 20 hp. The wheelbase was lengthened to 246 cm. It was also only available as a touring car.
