Lansing Automobile Works was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

George J. Bohnet was already producing automobiles from 1901 , which he sold as Bohnet . It was not until 1902 that he and JW Post founded the company in Lansing , Michigan . Production ended that same year.

vehicles

Steam cars were on offer . After 18 months of development, the first vehicle was so far ready that it could be driven on public roads for the first time on June 6, 1901. A doctor from De Witt bought the vehicle for less than $ 1,000 .

A manager from the Capital Electric Company bought the second vehicle. It took ten months to build. The body shape was a runabout . Was steered with a steering lever.
