Louis H. Bill founded the company in 1901 in San Francisco , California . He mainly made bicycles and motorcycles . He also made automobiles to customer orders. The brand name was California . Production ended in 1905.

There were no affiliations with any of the other California- branded vehicle manufacturers : California Automobile Company , California Automobile Company, and California Motors .
