Krastin Automobile Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
August Krastin came from Latvia . He worked on a prototype for several years . On November 20, 1901, the company was founded in Cleveland , Ohio . Charles S. Beardslee was President and Krastin General Manager. They started producing automobiles in 1902. The brand name was Krastin . The first vehicle was sold in October 1902. The plant had a daily capacity of four vehicles. Later, a fire destroyed the work that was not insured. Bankruptcy followed in early 1904 .
A total of four vehicles were built, one of which still exists.

Only one model was on offer. A water-cooled two - cylinder engine with 10 HP power drove the rear axle via a chain. The chassis had a wheelbase of 183 cm . There was a choice of runabouts with two seats and two tonneaus with four and six seats. The steering wheel had numerous special functions.
