Empire State Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in May 1900 in Rochester , New York , United States . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Empire State . Production ended in 1901.

Only one model was on offer. It was similar to many other small American cars of the time. A single-cylinder engine with 4.5 hp was mounted under the seat and drove the rear axle via a chain. The open body of the runabout offered space for two people. Was steered with a steering lever. The wheels were wire spoke wheels. On fender has been omitted.
