Long Island Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles . Another source names the name Long Island Motor Vehicle Company .

Company history

AR Pardington, Charles Rockliff and FG Webb founded the company in October 1901. The seat was in Brooklyn in the US state New York . It was mainly used as a car repair shop . In addition, some automobiles were made to customer orders. The brand name was Long Island . Vehicle production ended in 1904.

It is not known when the company was dissolved. Rockliff also produced in another factory in Brooklyn from 1902 to 1906 trucks brand Rockliff .

Data are available from two passenger cars .

One had a four-cylinder engine with 15 hp . The structure was an open touring car . The customer was a member of the Long Island Automobile Club .

The other also had a four-cylinder engine, but with 24 hp. This vehicle was also bodied as a touring car. A Brooklyn businessman bought it.
