Norton was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

James J. Norton founded the company in Lowell , Massachusetts in 1898 . Initially he was engaged in the sale and repair of bicycles . In 1901 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Norton . Vehicle production ended in 1902.

Norton then founded the Auto Tire Vulcanizing Company in the same city. He was also involved in Norton & Fuller in 1905 .
