Clark Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
William E. Clark dealt with the development of automobiles from 1897. His company was based in Moline , Illinois . Series production was announced in 1901. In 1902 it was announced that the brand name would be Blackhawk . Production only began in 1903. Production ended in the same year. A total of fifty vehicles were built.
Clark later became involved in the Deere-Clark Motor Car Company .

A second vehicle was built in 1901. Its engine developed 4 hp . A Doctor Ludwig from Rock Island bought the vehicle.

In the series version, this model was bodied as a runabout . A Phaeton with a two-cylinder engine was also on offer. The chassis of both models was the same. The motors were mounted in the rear and drove the rear axle via a planetary gear .
