King was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

AW King was an operator in Chicago , Illinois . He also started producing automobiles in 1899. The brand name was King . When he received a major order for six vehicles in November 1899, he rented additional assembly space from George E. Lloyd & Company . Production ended in 1900.

There were no affiliations with the King Motor Vehicle Company and King Motor Car Company , which later used the same brand name.
