FD Knight & Son was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frank D. Knight founded the company in Hudson , Massachusetts in 1901 . He started with the production of automobiles. His son George H. Knight helped him as a designer. The brand name was Knight . Production ended in 1902. A total of eight vehicles were built.

The vehicles were steam cars . The steam engine had two cylinders . It drove the rear axle via a chain. Stanhope and a two-seater runabout have been handed down as superstructures . Was steered with a steering lever. The original price was 800 US dollars .
