Zenas Thompson & Brothers was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in Portland , Maine . It sold vehicles from the Mobile Company of America . In 1901 the company started producing automobiles. The brand name was Thompson . Superintendent was WC Buckman, who previously worked for the Stanley Motor Carriage Company . Vehicle production ended in 1902. It is not known whether the company was dissolved in the same year or later.

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Thompson were Thompson and Thompson Automobile Company .

Only steam cars were on offer . They were bigger than Mobile's vehicles. Apart from the boiler, all parts were manufactured in the company.
