Turner Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

George T. Turner founded the company in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania in 1901 . In the summer of the same year, the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Turner . Production ended in the summer of 1903. The company went bankrupt .

vehicles

There were two small cars on offer. One was named Lilliputian . It had a single cylinder engine with 1.25 hp that was mounted under the seat and powered the rear axle. The transmission had a forward and a reverse gear. The basis was a lightweight tubular frame. The wheelbase was 130 cm and the track width 91 cm. The car offered space for two people side by side. The single front wheel of the tricycle was steered with a steering lever.

The gadabout was slightly larger and had four wheels. The wheelbase was 229 cm, the track 102 cm. The engine developed 3 hp.
