Leach Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

John M. Leach had made bicycles . In 1899 he founded the company in Everett , Massachusetts . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Leach . Production ended in January 1901 when the company was dissolved.

There was no association with the Leach Motor Car Company , which used the same brand name from 1920.

Steam cars were on offer . A steam engine with two cylinders and 6 HP power drove the rear axle via a chain. Was steered with a steering lever. There was a choice of open bodies with two or four seats.
