American Automobile Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in New York City in 1899 . The production of automobiles began, which were marketed as American . James Frank Duryea was the designer until 1900. Production ended in 1901. United Power Vehicle Company took over the company.

The only model was an open four-seater. Special features were the three-cylinder engine and the ability to start the engine from the driver's seat.
