Automobile and Marine Power Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .
Company history
The company was based in Camden , New Jersey . William C. Franch, Albert K. Kull and Edward M. Pine are named as founders. Mainly they made engines. In 1901 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was New Era . Production ended in 1902.
Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand New Era were New Era Engineering Company and New Era Motors Corporation .

Only one model was on offer. A single cylinder engine with 7 hp was mounted under the seat. It drove the rear wheels via two chains. The open body offered space for two or four people. Was steered with a steering lever. The curb weight was given as around 431 kg. The original price was initially 700 US dollars and was later increased to 850 dollars.
One source describes the appearance as clumsy and relates this to the short wheelbase and tall structure.
