Specialty Carriage Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles . Another source uses the name Specialty Carriage & Motor Vehicle Company .

Company history

The company was based in Cincinnati , Ohio . Mainly it made carriages . In addition, automobiles called Specialty Electric were built in 1898 . The order for this came from the Electric Vehicle Company .

Motor vehicles

The vehicles were electric cars . 50 were bodied as Brougham and 50 as Hansom . They were mainly used in Manhattan as taxis and delivery vans .
