Hansom Cab

A Hansom Cab , Cab for Cabriolet , Hansom- Taxi or just Hansom for short was a two-seater, single-axle, open to the front carriage , patented by the English architect and inventor Joseph A. Hansom (1803-1882) in 1834 , in which the coachman rises behind Convertible top was sitting.

The design of the Hansom Cab was also used in automobiles ( powerhouses ) used as taxis until the 1920s to give passengers a better view. Examples of this are documented from France, England and the USA.
