Keystone Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

The company was founded in 1900 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania . Automobile production began in the summer of 1900. The brand name was Keystone . Edward B. Gallaher was the designer. Engines were also offered. By August 1900, 9 vehicles and 71 engines had already been sold. Sales continued to rise.

In November 1900, in the company's fifth month, the owners accepted a good offer from Searchmont Motor and sold everything.

It had no ties with the other US manufacturers of Keystone- branded cars : Keystone Match & Machine Company , Munch Motor Car Company, and H. Cook & Brothers .

All models had a water-cooled single cylinder engine with 5 hp . There was a choice of Autocycle as a two-seater, Wagonette as a two-seater runabout and a single-seater delivery van .
