Wayman & Murphy Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

Messrs. Wayman and Murphy founded the company in Chicago , Illinois in 1883 . At first they made carriages . In 1903 the production of automobiles began . The brand name was Wayman & Murphy . A vehicle was presented at the Chicago Automobile Show in February 1903 . Motor vehicle production ended in 1904.

After 1920 the track of the company is lost.

Motor vehicles

Only one model was on offer. It had a 4.5 HP engine. He came from either the TJ Lindsay Automobile Parts Company or its successor, the Lindsay-Russell Axle Company . The transmission was from Champion . The bodies were own designs. The runabout body shape has been handed down .
