Starin Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was based in North Tonawanda , New York State . In 1903 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Starin . The Buffalo Times reported on it on March 29, 1903. According to its own information, the company already had five years of experience in automobile construction at the time, although it remains unclear what was being produced. Vehicle production ended in 1904.

As a car dealership , the company was active for even longer. After February 1907 the track of the company is lost.

There were two models on offer. Both had a single cylinder engine that was mounted under the seat and powered the rear axle via a two-speed planetary gear and a chain. One engine made 6 hp and the other 8 hp. The chassis had a wheelbase of 183 cm . The setup was an open runabout . The original price was, depending on engine 800 dollars and 1000 dollars.
