Dingfelder Motor Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles and engines .

Company history

Max Dingfelder ran the Detroit , Michigan-based company . It made engines. In 1903 a number of automobiles were built that were marketed as Dingfelder . After 1913 the track of the company is lost.

Products

The only model was a small vehicle. It was powered by a self-made single-cylinder engine with 3.5 hp . The curb weight was given as 227 kg. The original price was 500 US dollars .

In 1908, various boat engines with two, four and six cylinders were presented at the Detroit Motor Boat Show .

Between 1911 and 1913 arose aircraft engines as four- , six- and eight-cylinder engines .
