Rand & Harvey was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Clarence Rand of Lewiston , Maine made its first vehicle in 1899.

Then came the partnership with George E. Harvey. In 1900 two more vehicles were built. They were called Rand & Harvey .

A gas burner was also developed and sold to a manufacturer of steam cars. The company then worked as a car dealership for vehicles for the Stanley Motor Carriage Company .

Steam cars were on offer . According to the manufacturer, they were good at conquering inclines and covering longer distances. At least one vehicle was bodied as a runabout with two seats.
