Keystone Match & Machine Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .
Company history
The company was founded in Lebanon , Pennsylvania in 1894 . Initially, it made matches and machines for their production. Bicycles were added in 1896 . In 1899 the production of automobiles began, designed by JG Xander. The brand name was Keystone . Vehicle production ended in 1900.
Matches were produced even longer.
It had no ties with any of the other US manufacturers of Keystone- branded cars : Keystone Motor Company , Munch Motor Car Company, and H. Cook & Brothers .

Bicycles were marketed as OK , Penryc Hygienic, and Xander .
The motor vehicles were steam cars . Each rear wheel was driven individually. Depending on the source, there were three steam engines per rear wheel or one three-cylinder engine per rear wheel. The maximum speed was given as 32 km / h. An illustration shows an open runabout with two seats.
In addition, were commercial vehicles planned.
