Edward S. Clark Steam Automobiles was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Edward S. Clark founded the company in Boston , Massachusetts in 1895 . At first he manufactured steam boilers . In 1900 automobile production was added. The brand name was Clark , possibly with the addition of Steam Car . In 1909 the car production ended. Commercial vehicles were built between 1910 and 1912 for this purpose .

The passenger cars were steam cars . One of the first vehicles had a four- cylinder steam engine that developed 20 hp .

A tonneau with a side access has been handed down for the period from 1900 to 1902 .

In 1903 there were four different touring cars as Model A , Model B , Model D and Model E as well as the Model K, a delivery van .

In 1904 the Style D was a Surrey . Its wheelbase was 251 cm. The Style H had a 213 cm wheelbase and a body as dos-à-dos . The Style K was a 175 cm wheelbase delivery van. There was also a Suburban Car with a wheelbase of 183 cm.
