Company history
George E. Daniels, previously President of Oakland and Vice President of General Motors , founded Daniels Motor Car Company in Reading , Pennsylvania in 1916 . He was assisted by Neff E. Parish, whose Parish Pressed Steel Company produced frames for several automobile manufacturers. Automobile production began at the end of 1916. The brand name was Daniels . To expand, Daniels converted the company into the Daniels Motor Company . Parish withdrew financial support after an argument with Daniels. The company was then sold to Levene Motors in January 1924 . Now only vehicles were made from existing parts. Production ended in 1924. A total of around 1960 vehicles were built.
