The company was based in New York City from 1919 to 1923 . The company was a subsidiary of the Walton Body Company , which manufactured airplane wings.

In January 1919 the first car was exhibited at the New York Automobile Show . Production of the two-seater roadster began in 1920. It was a ready-made model, the six-cylinder in - line engine of which was supplied by the Continental Motors Company and had an output of 55 bhp (40 kW). The chassis was made of laminated wood that was planked with aluminum. This model 1 was also available as a four-seater.

From 1921 the unchanged car was called Model C and from 1922 was also available as a six-seat touring car and five-seat sedan .

Automobile production was stopped at the end of 1923. Around 300 Noma automobiles were built during this time.
