Classic Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1916 in Chicago , Illinois . In the same year the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Classic . The sales figures developed well. Production ended in 1917 due to a shortage of materials due to the First World War .

In 1920 there was an attempt to restart in Lake Geneva , Wisconsin . Production remained minimal.

First there was the Model 4-40 . A four-cylinder engine from Lycoming with 20 hp power powered vehicles. The chassis had a wheelbase of 290 cm . The choice was between one triple Cloverleaf - Roadster and a five-seater touring car . The slightly inclined windshield was striking .
