California Motor Car Corporation was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in 1920 in Los Angeles , California . Edward Lawrence was production manager, Allison L. Tull was sales manager, and Robert J. Schefferly was chief engineer. They started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Californian Six . The first vehicle was in the sales room in May 1920. Production ended in the same year. Overall, a complete vehicle , two finished chassis for external bodywork and some unfinished chassis were created.

Many parts were obtained from other companies. This included the six-cylinder engine from the Beaver Manufacturing Company . The wheelbase was 340 cm. There was a seven-seater touring car and a sporty Club Express with four seats.
