The headquarters were in Philadelphia , while production took place at the former Chadwick Engineering Works facility in Pottstown . Both cities are in Pennsylvania . The brand name was Champion . Henry G. Crowther was President and LV Goebbels chief engineer. In 1923 the name was changed to Champion Motors Corporation . In 1924 the company was dissolved. A total of around 50 vehicles were built between 1918 and 1924.

There was no association with the Champion Wagon Company and the Champion Auto Equipment Company , which used the same brand name.

Models with four-cylinder engines were on offer . The Lycoming engine came from the tourist . Its grille was similar to the Packard models . The Special had a built-in engine from Herschell-Spillman . Its grille was similar to Rolls-Royce vehicles . All bodies were five-seater touring cars .

From 1921 there was a separation into Tourist and Special . The Tourist had a 35 hp engine and the Special had a 40 hp engine. Both models had a chassis with a 300 cm wheelbase.

The only change for 1922 was that the Tourist's wheelbase was reduced back to 295 cm.

In 1923, the engine output for both models was given as 40 hp. The wheelbase was standardized to 295 cm.

In 1924 the wheelbase was shortened to 284 cm.

A model with a six-cylinder engine from Falls Motor Corporation remained a prototype .
