Union Automobile Manufacturing Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in November 1904 in St. Louis , Missouri . It belonged to the Union Automobile Company of Indiana . Benjamin Hulbert, George B. Louderback and George H. Martin directed it. In 1905 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Union . Production ended in 1905. It is unclear whether the company existed after 1905.

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Union were Union Electric Company , the above mentioned Union Automobile Company, Union Carriage Company , Union Sales Company and Union Automobile Company .

There were two models to choose from. The Model 2 D had a two-cylinder engine with 12 hp and a chassis with a 206 cm wheelbase . The open touring car offered space for four people. The original price was 1,000 US dollars .

The Model E also had a two-cylinder engine. It made 16 hp. The wheelbase was 239 cm. The touring car had five seats and cost $ 1,125.
