Sibley Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

FM Sibley was the sponsor and name giver for this company. He founded the company in Detroit , Michigan in 1910 . CP Warner became president. JG Utz, who previously worked as chief engineer for Chalmers Motor Car Company , also worked for the company. A source suggests that Sibley's intention was to employ his son Eugene. Automobile production began in the spring of 1910. The brand name was Sibley . For this purpose, a factory was rented from the Detroit Valve & Fitting Company . In January 1911 this company filed a lawsuit against the plant. Production ended with that.

Eugene Sibley was later involved in the Sibley-Curtiss Motor Company .
