Senator Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania in the summer of 1911 . CE Vance was President, PT Coburn Treasurer, ER Walters Director and AF Schmidt Manager, who previously worked for Penn Motor Car Company . In 1910 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Senator . 1000 vehicles were planned in the first year. That figure was clearly missed. Production ended in the same year.

There was no association with the Victor Automobile Company , which a few years earlier used the same brand name for its passenger cars.

The vehicles had a four-cylinder engine . It was specified with 40 hp . There were two different body styles to choose from. The roadster had a chassis with a 295 cm wheelbase . It cost 1,250 dollars . Its low center of gravity has been highlighted in advertising. There was also an open touring car for $ 1,800.
