Washington Motor Vehicle Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Washington, DC in 1909 . At first only commercial vehicles were created that were marketed as Washington . In 1911 the brand name changed to Capitol . Also in 1911 the limited production of passenger cars was added. Bankruptcy began in February 1912 .
