Eureka Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in October 1906 in Seattle , Washington state. AD Campbell, James H. De Veauve and HR Harriman directed it. FA Mitchell was general manager and was the only one who had experience in automotive engineering. They started producing automobiles that were marketed as Eureka . Many parts were bought in. They acquired the Seattle Manufacturing & Supply Company and built a two-story factory on the site. It is uncertain whether this structure was completed. Production ended in 1907. The production number remained minimal.

There was no connection to the other US manufacturers of car brand Eureka : Eureka Automobile Agency , Eureka Motor Car Manufacturing Company , Eureka Motor Buggy Company and Eureka Company .

Only one model on offer. It was called Model 1 . The four-cylinder engine came from Duo . He was specified with 20/24 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 264 cm . A two-seat runabout body was mounted on top. The original price was 1,900 US dollars , which a source as very expensive and another as absurd designated high.
