Company history

Born in Denmark, Johannes Moller Larsen called himself John M. Larsen in the USA. He successfully operated the Larsen Ice Machine Company for ice machines in Chicago , Illinois . As early as 1907 he manufactured a particularly fast vehicle called the Falcon . It wasn't until 1909 that he founded a separate vehicle manufacturing company in the same city. In the same year he produced at least one other vehicle. All vehicles were created according to customer orders. Production ended in 1909.

vehicles

The first vehicle had an engine with 120 hp . Larsen stated the top speed at 192 km / h, which one source considers an exaggeration. The open structure of the roadster was called a gentleman's roadster . The original price was 7500 US dollars .

The second known vehicle had a six-cylinder engine with 10,500 cm³ displacement and 90 hp. The chassis had a wheelbase of 345 cm . The open body as a touring car offered space for nine people. The vehicle cost $ 12,500. For comparison: luxury cars from other manufacturers such as Pierce-Arrow and Peerless Motor Car Corporation were only half the price.
