Trebert Gas Engine Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

Henry L. Trebert resigned from the Stearns Automobile Company in 1902 . He then founded his own company in Rochester , New York State . Production of gasoline engines began in 1902 . In 1907 automobiles were added. The brand name was Trebert . Trebert had already left the company at this point. Vehicle production ended in 1908. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

Engine deliveries are known up to 1910. It is unclear when the company was dissolved.

Engines

The first engine offered was a two-cylinder engine with 10 hp . Engines with outputs between 2 and 40 hp followed later.

The following companies used Trebert engines: AM Dow , Genessee Auto Company , Lambert Automobile Company, and Sinclair-Scott Company .

Only Model A was on offer . It had a four-cylinder engine with 30 hp. The chassis had a wheelbase of 262 cm . The structure was a five-seater touring car . The original price was 1850 US dollars .
