Vera Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company was founded in Providence , Rhode Island in 1912 by people with extensive experience working for other companies. The President Johns H. Congdon previously worked for the Congdon & Carpenter Company , the Vice President and General Manager SJ Greene and the Treasurer FD Simmons at the Eastern Coal Company , the designer FV Cooke at Packard , the designer HJ Willard and the production manager William J. Harris at the American Locomotive Company . The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Vera . Production ended in the same year.

The only model was the 60 HP . It had a six-cylinder engine . There was a choice of roadsters and touring cars .
