Sommer Motor Company was an American manufacturer of engines and automobiles .

Company history

DF Flohn, FC Hopley, LA Sommer, LM Smith and SS White founded the company in November 1910 in Bucyrus , Ohio . They made engines and automobiles. The brand name was summer . Series production of motor vehicles ended in 1911 . It is possible that some vehicles were still made according to customer orders until 1914. In that year the restriction to engines was announced.

On November 6, 1915, the company was mentioned. Then the track is lost.

LA Summer was a brother of the owner of the Summer Motor Car Company of Michigan , which used 1904-1905 the same brand name.
