DLG Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

AL Dyke operated both the AL Dyke Automobile Supply Company and the St. Louis Electric Automobile Company in St. Louis , Missouri . In 1906 he founded this additional company in the same city together with his colleagues BL Liebert, an engineer of German origin, and VR Givens, another engineer. The production of automobiles began in 1906 or 1907, depending on the source. The brand name was DLG , derived from the first letters of their names. Production ended in 1907. In total, only a few vehicles were built.

The only model had a six-cylinder engine with OHV valve control that developed 35 hp . The radiator grille was similar to the Mercedes models from Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft at the time . Two superstructures were available. The runabout had a chassis with a 287 cm wheelbase . The wheelbase of the touring car was 330 cm.
