The Flanders Motor Company was an American automobile manufacturer.

prehistory

Barney Everitt and William Metzger had run the Metzger Motor Car Company since 1909 . Walter E. Flanders also joined the company in 1912.

Company history

Flanders carried out a reorganization and renaming. For a short time the new company was called Everitt Motor Car Company and then Flanders Motor Company . The vehicles were first presented to the public at the New York Automobile Show in January 1913. The brand name was Flanders .

A little later the takeover by the United States Motor Company took place .

Other US manufacturers of passenger cars of the brand Flanders were Everitt-Metzger-Flanders Company (1909-1912), Flanders Manufacturing Company (1912-1913) and Flanders Electric Company (1914-1915).

vehicles

The only model was the Flanders 50-Six . It was based on the last Metzger Motor Company model. Electric vehicle headlights and starters were improvements. A six-cylinder engine with 38.4 hp powered the vehicles. The chassis had a wheelbase of 330 cm . There was a choice of a touring car with seven seats and a roadster with three seats.
