Detroit-Dearborn Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Edward Bland, Elmer W. Foster, Arthur E. Kiefer and Samuel D. Lapham founded the company in the summer of 1909. The company was based in Dearborn , Michigan . On November 15, 1909, the first prototypes were ready to go. The designer was Paul Arthur, who previously worked for the Regal Motor Car Company . The brand name was Detroit-Dearborn . Bankruptcy followed at the end of 1910 . A total of 110 vehicles were built.

Vernon C. Fry took over the leftovers and founded the Vernon Motor Car Company .

A model in two versions was on offer. A four-cylinder engine with 35 hp propelled the vehicles. The chassis had a wheelbase of 284 cm . Two superstructures were available. The Touring Car - roadster was Nike called and touring Torpedo Minerva .
