Piedmont Buggy Company was an American manufacturer of vehicles .

Company history

The Monroe , North Carolina company originally made carriages . In 1908 WC Heath was president, OW Kochtitzky secretary and TJ Paine general manager. Automobile production began in mid-1908 . The brand name was Piedmont . In the same year, the production of motor vehicles ended after only a few copies had been produced.

In 1919 the company was dissolved.

There was no association with the Piedmont Motor Car Company , which used the same brand name.

Motor vehicles

Only one model was on offer. It was called a motor buggy. The vehicles were powered by an air-cooled engine with 10 hp . The solid rubber tires were striking . The curb weight was given as around 363 kg.
