Farmack Motor Car Company was an American manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Albert J. Farmer had previous automotive experience with Smith & Mabley Manufacturing Company , Rainier Motor Car Company, and Northway Motors Corporation . MM McIntyre previously worked at Coey Motor . Together they founded the company in Chicago , Illinois in May 1915 . They began producing automobiles in the former Staver Carriage Company plant. The brand name was Farmack . Sales initially went well.

In 1916, Farmer found more investors from Chicago, but they were not satisfied with the Farmack name . A reorganization resulted in Drexel Motor Corporation in the same town.

The only model had a self-developed and manufactured four-cylinder engine with OHC valve control . It made 20 hp . The chassis had a wheelbase of 310 cm . There was a choice of a two-seater roadster , a two-seater convertible and a five-seater touring car .
